The purpose of the Compu-Weigh Concrete batching system, is to provide a Quality Assurance trail for plants that are either Mobile or not currently computerized. The system is installed to replace existing push buttons and Indicators.

The Compu-Weigh concrete batching system consists of a control enclosure, one or two printers, a VGA monitor and keyboard and software package.

The control enclosure houses the industrial computer, all interface boards, liquid dosing meters, back up weight indicators and all associated switches and pushbuttons. The system is designed to provide complete manual over-ride on every function of the batching sequence.  The manual over-ride for the liquid dosing is also used as a double check by the operator to confirm the computer reports.

The controls are responsible for the automatic batching of cement and all liquids in a Mobile Plant.  A large digit remote display shows the front end loader driver which aggregate to fill and the target weight.  All other functions such as belt discharge, gate opening, traffic lights, horn etc. are all automatically controlled from within a single software package.

One printer is used to print batch reports and the second printer prints truck dockets, which includes all customer information and progressive totals.

Reports are stored for an indefinite period on a removable Compact Flash Card and can be reprinted years later.

Many development projects require concrete batching on site during the construction phase (eg. mine sites).  To meet this demand, a number of mobile batching plants were designed that could easily be installed on a site and commence batching within a day or so.

Compu-Weigh has developed a control and software package that meets the specific needs of these plants.  This means that the system sometimes operates in extremely dusty, dirty and hot conditions often found in the NW of Australia.  The batching controls are mounted in a portable building that is transported to site and can be plugged into the mobile plant once correctly positioned.  Once the calibration of the scales is done, the system is immediately available for batching.
